01
Managed delivery, not a marketplace
Australian businesses come here to get work delivered, not to recruit. There is no bidding round, no profile browsing and no interviews with a shortlist of contractors. You post the outcome. Hire Freelancer stays the point of responsibility from scope through handover.
That is the difference from hiring freelancers yourself: coordination, deadlines, files, messages and the quality check sit inside one process. See how managed project delivery works if you want the six stages in order.
02
One accountable process
A project has one relationship and one written plan. Specialists can change across research, design, build, content, SEO, data or QA, but you do not become the project manager for each of them. If something is late, unclear or incomplete, you talk to Hire Freelancer, not a group of separate contractors.
Progress lives in the client workspace: status, milestones, messages, files, approvals and invoices. You should always be able to answer three questions: what is happening now, what do you need from me, and what happens next.
03
Specialists for the work, not a single generalist
Real projects rarely fit one person. A website may need UX, UI, WordPress or Shopify, copy and a launch check. Software may need product thinking, build, integrations and testing. Marketing may need content, search and a landing page in the same engagement.
Hire Freelancer assembles the capabilities the scope actually needs, then manages the handovers between them. Browse the outcome categories on managed project services, including websites and ecommerce, software and technology, design and creative, marketing and growth, business support, and data and AI.
04
Quality before handover
Work is not marked finished because a specialist said it was ready. Appropriate checks happen first. The exact review changes by project, but the principle does not: you should not be the last quality-control step.
- Requirements checked against the agreed scope
- Functional and responsive checks where the work is digital
- Content, files and naming reviewed
- Documentation and handover prepared
- Open issues listed, not hidden, before you are asked to accept the work
05
Scope, price and change
You buy a managed outcome, not an open-ended hourly marketplace engagement. Deliverables, assumptions and milestones are written down before delivery starts. Work outside that scope is a change: priced and agreed before it is added.
Project prices are shown in Australian dollars and invoices are prepared on a plus-GST basis. Example ranges and what is included live on the pricing page. Australian business context, GST and workspace expectations are also covered on managed delivery for Australian businesses.
06
Confidentiality and intellectual property
Briefs, files and client materials are used to deliver that project. They are not sold as marketing lists. Written scopes state what is being produced. Ownership of agreed deliverables transfers as set out in the project terms after payment.
How contact details, files and workspace messages are handled is explained in the privacy notice. Existing-project or invoice questions can go through contact instead of a new brief.
07
What you still decide
Hire Freelancer does not take over the business. You stay responsible for the outcome you want, the approvals, brand or product decisions, and access to the systems we need to do the work. We stay responsible for the people, the process, the communication and the check before handover.
If the brief is incomplete, that is expected. Describe the result. Clarifying questions happen before work is scoped. When you are ready, post a project. Related reading sits in Insights and the FAQ.
